All modules are taught face-to-face on campus with both subject knowledge sessions and professional studies lectures.

The nature of this professional course allows for many practical sessions where subject knowledge and pedagogical skills are developed.

Pre-Course Reading

 

Pre-course materials and onboarding activities are available on the UG Moodle page, as well as Keeping in Touch emails and postcards with relevant information.

Timetable

As part of the course, you will be provided with practice placements. Details regarding time commitment involved for these placements will be provided by the subject area at a later point.

For on campus activities in semester 1 all subjects will follow the similar timetable pattern except English students who will have a slightly different start and end time on Mondays.

Some aspects of the timetable can change on a weekly basis, so you will need to check your calendar carefully.

Semester 1

In weeks beginning 25th September and 2nd Oct schedule timetabled activities will be on:

Tuesdays 9.00 – 12.00
Thursdays 14.00 – 17.00

From week beginning 9th October the pattern will be:

Mondays 09.00-12.00 and 13.00-16.00 (All subjects except English)
10.00-13.00 and 14.00-17.00 English only.
Tuesdays 9.00-12.00
Thursdays 10.00 – 13.00 and 14.00 – 17.00

Full details of your individual academic timetable will be available via your university email calendar after you have completed online enrolment and set up your student login.

Even if your course team are not expecting you to be in during Welcome Week on Tuesday 19th September, we strongly encourage you to come in and participate in our Student Union Fresher’s Fair.
